¿Saben aquel de la actriz joven y guapa, latina o norteamericana, que triunfa en Hollywood y dice que nadie le ha regalado nada?
I don't believe in God. But yes, I do think being talented is a gift. As is being born in a country and not in another, being raised in a family and not in another, having been given a good education and not a bad one, etc. That's why the sentence is stupid (as are all those similar to it: "I don't owe anybody anything", etc.).
